Resident text alerts

From Abfall Valet, your community's valet trash service.

    What you'll get

    • A text when collection starts at your community — not arrival at your building or a pickup ETA
    • Opted-in service notices: delays, cancellations, schedule changes and back on schedule
    • Updates on a come-back (missed pickup) request you made

No promotional or marketing texts. Service messages only.

    • Enrollment is optional and is not a condition of service. Valet trash and come-back requests work without it.
    • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
    • Reply STOP or CANCEL to unsubscribe globally from resident SMS at any time. Reply HELP for support. DECLINE (RECHAZAR in Spanish) declines only a come-back request.
    • Support: office@abfallvalet.com or (737) 321-5665

    How to sign up

    1. 1. Use your property's text-alert QR code or link

Use the dedicated text-alert QR code or link supplied by your property office — not the universal bin-sticker QR, which is for come-back requests. Or click the resident sign-up button below and select your property. It opens your community's own sign-up page.

    2. 2. Enter your mobile number and unit

Type the mobile number that should receive alerts and your unit number.

    3. 3. Check the consent box yourself

The consent box starts unchecked. Read the wording, the Privacy Policy and the Terms, then check it only if you agree.

    4. 4. Request and enter a verification code

We text a one-time code to confirm the number is yours, not to verify residency. Enrollment finishes only after you enter it.

    5. 5. Choose your preferences

Pick which alerts you want. English and Spanish are available. You can change preferences or text STOP at any time.

    Go to resident sign-up

Sign-up opens on portal.abfallvalet.com, the Abfall Valet resident portal. If your property gave you a dedicated text-alert QR code or link, it takes you straight to your community's sign-up page.

    Request a come-back by text

Verified resident SMS subscribers can text COMEBACK or COME BACK to (737) 321-5665 and follow the prompts. Choose your property if more than one is listed, provide any missing building and unit details, and confirm the property, building and unit with CONFIRM. In Spanish, text REGRESO and confirm CONFIRMAR. A missing unit record does not block your request: unmatched resident-entered locations are accepted for crew verification. We do not guess a matching unit record. Phone verification confirms the phone number, not residency. An unmatched unit does not require signing up again or switching to QR. DECLINE (RECHAZAR in Spanish) declines only that request; STOP or CANCEL unsubscribe globally from resident SMS. START and HELP remain subscription controls. JOIN sends a signup link; it does not enroll you. HELP provides support.

Not enrolled or not verified? Sign up in the resident portal, choose your property, provide your unit, opt in with the unchecked consent box, and confirm the one-time code (OTP) before texting COMEBACK. Texting alone does not enroll you.

QR and website come-backs remain available without text-alert signup or a phone number. The bin-sticker QR is for come-backs, not SMS signup.

An SMS come-back request is saved only after you receive the confirmation receipt, not just after texting the initiation or confirmation keyword. The initial receipt states whether service has not started, is underway, or is completed with your request queued for next service, and includes a private status link. Requests follow your community's actual service phase. Before service starts, a request waits for service; during service, follow the actual request status. After service is fully completed, requests are held for the next service. No pickup or ETA is guaranteed. Text updates distinguish crew acceptance, heading back, request completion and closure, with a secure status link. Acceptance does not mean heading back, and closed does not by itself mean picked up. Live GPS is shown only when service is active and a fresh location is available; no persistent off-duty tracking or continuous crew tracking. Location sharing may pause when the crew app is backgrounded. A completion photo is available in the private status link; eligible text updates may include a photo, with carrier availability varying.

Service-start alerts mean service has started at your property, not arrival at your building. Text alerts are optional. Get support.

Example for reference only. This is the wording residents see next to an unchecked box on the real sign-up page. Nothing here signs you up.

By checking this box, I agree to receive recurring automated service text messages from Abfall Valet at the mobile number provided about valet trash service at this property: valet arrival/service start, service changes or delays, and come-back (callback) request updates. Consent is optional and is not a condition of receiving service. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Support: office@abfallvalet.com or (737) 321-5665. See our Privacy Policy and Terms.

“Valet arrival/service start” refers to property service starting, not arrival at your building. The enrollment consent wording above is unchanged.
